Ward Committees are an effective concept for citizen engagement at the ward level and critical to our local self-governance in the municipalities. They help in the decentralization of functions and provide better supervision for Ward governance. Composition and functions of a Ward Committee are outlined in the 74th Constitutional amendment to ensure that there is equal representation for all sections.

A political native and citizen gathering group that plans to improve administration in Bengaluru and to upgrade the quality of life of its inhabitants. Bangalore Political Action Committee (B.PAC) is a non-partisan citizen's group that aims to conduct a safer city programme in Bangalore and to enhance the quality of life of every Bengalurean.
BPAC along with BCLIP leaders is working in selected BBMP wards
B.PAC along with B.CLIP leaders is working in selected BBMP wards on comprehensive waste management practices to better the municipal solid waste management practices Microplanning to ensure efficient collection of segregated waste routes of Municipal waste collection vehicles are marked and volunteers are identified to check regular collection by allotted vehicles only. Segregation drives Door-to-door awareness on segregation and climate change awareness campaign of wet waste, dry waste, and sanitary waste is carried out. The houses segregating waste are marked with “I segregate my waste”.
BPAC took the initiative by designing and implementing a “gender sensitisation program initiative
B.PAC’s women and child safety program B.SAFE chose to tackle the problems from the grassroots. B.PAC began to work with BMTC in conducting “gender sensitisation program” workshops to create gender sensitization awareness of gender sensitisation initiative amongst the BMTC staff, given two-thirds of its commuters are women. This program was enabled by Nirbhaya Fund. B.PAC took the initiative by designing and implementing a “gender sensitisation program initiative” program to cover 11000 drivers, conductors, and other ground staff in Phase.

Community Awareness Program
B.SAFE Constituency is a platform to connect different departments establishing women’s safety is an indispensable effort towards women's empowerment. Our country has massive human capital but nearly half of these helping hands receive little or no help of their own. Women’s safety is an indispensable effort towards women empowerment. Over the years, several departments and organizations have launched a myriad of programs to create a safe environment. To achieve the actual potential of these programs, we need to create a platform that connects different departments and establishes dialogue between them to address safety as a comprehensive issue.

The application will be available on the B.PAC website. All the details in part 2 of the application form need to be filled up except the recommendations. The recommendations along with part 3 of the application form (the 100 signed voter list) can either be scanned and uploaded or posted to the B.PAC Office. B-pac gives the opportunity for public participation in municipalities as a responsible citizen of the country and of your areas.
